Wait Times
The easiest and quickest way to find out the length of waiting time is via the NHS My Planned Care.
When your referral is received by the hospital from us, the Consultant’s team read it and prioritise how soon you are seen.
To access the website information about current wait times, go to then choose the hospital where you have been referred and you can then view the average waiting times. For most patients this will be under Mid Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Trust.
Track your referral
To track your e-Referral you will need the following details to log into the e-Referral website:
Your date of birth
Reference number – this will be on the first page of your letter
Access Code – this will be on the first page of your letter
To track an e-Referral
Telephone
You can also phone the NHS e-Referral Service line on 0345 608 8888 (open Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 8:00 pm, and on weekends and bank holidays from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm).
Self-referral
Most referrals to other specialists will require you seeing or speaking with a GP. However, there are a number of local services that you are able to make self referrals to.
